Penmar Industries Awarded Certification as a Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) by the U.S. Small Business Administration SOUTH NORWALK, Conn. - January 22, 2008 - Penmar Industries, a Connecticut-based, Hispanic-owned company, was awarded certification as a Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) under U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) guidelines. The SBA certifies small businesses that meet specific economic, ownership, and control eligibility criteria making them eligible to participate in the SDB Program.
The U.S. Small Business Administration recognizes the importance of the economic development of small business in the development of the U.S. economy. The SBA is the gateway to opportunity for small contractors and subcontractors and helps Americans start, build and grow their companies through an extensive network of field offices and partnerships with public and private organizations.
