Market: Industrial
Scapa Industrial has introduced Scapa A177AW-PE, a double-coated acrylic foam tape that provides excellent adhesion at low application temperatures. This 45-mil conformable tape creates a permanent, reliable bond on metals, glass, plastics, wood, composites and painted surfaces, and can be used in commercial sign production, truck/trailer/RV manufacturing, window fabrication, marine construction, and metal assembly.
Made of white acrylic foam coated with an aggressive acrylic adhesive, Scapa A177AW-PE can be applied at winter cold temperatures such as 40°F, and is suitable for use in both indoor and outdoor environments. The adhesive offers excellent tack at low temperatures and resists UV light, solvents, abrasion, corrosion and moisture.
Scapa A177AW-PE delivers excellent aging and weathering properties on a variety of surfaces and superior long-term holding power. The product is an excellent replacement for mechanical fasteners, rivets, liquid adhesives, and spot-welds in truck body manufacturing and window assembly.
