Barnes International, Inc. is pleased to announce the acquisition of Superior Filtration, Inc as part of its on-going 100th year anniversary growth strategy. Superior Filtration is a leader in vacuum filter technology with equipment and systems installed in the major US automotive and auto parts manufacturers as well as leading manufacturers in Aerospace, Energy and Metal Working industries. "The combination of Barnes industry leading grinding and chip filters with Superior's vacuum technology is the perfect fit which allows us to offer a full range of solutions to our customers" states Bill Kirchner, General Manager of Barnes International, Inc.

Superior Filtration will become a division of Barnes International, Inc. Both Dave Kauppi and Greg Mac, founders and principals of Superior Filtration, Inc. will assume the roles of Directors of Project and Product Engineering for the new division.

In addition to the Superior Filtration, Inc acquisition, Barnes has added a new line of conveyors to complement its industry leading filters as part of the 100th year anniversary growth strategy. The X-TREME MAG-FILTER conveyor is for dedicated cast iron applications. It is equipped with Rare Earth magnets with a rotary filter drum for superior coolant cleaning performance. The new Live Link filter is a single stage hinge belt conveyor, with a rotary filter drum. This Live Link design is a cost-effective way to handle a wide range of chip configurations and achieve clean coolant.

Finally, a new website shows the connection between Barnes International, Inc. past and the current company (www.barnesintl.com) with the marketing theme of "100 YEARS STRONG".
