AMT elects 2009-2010 Board of Directors and Officers.


November 3, 2009 - At its 2009 Annual Meeting in Orlando, Florida, on October 23, AMT elected Daniel D. Janka of MAG Global as Chairman. Janka follows Ronald F. Schildge who will serve as Ex Officio member of Board of Directors, along with Doug Currie. Eugene R. Haffely, Jr. has been elected to serve as First Vice Chairman, while Timothy B. Dining will serve as Second Vice Chairman and Treasurer. Steven R. Stokey has been newly elected to 3-yr term and Carl Reed will return for 3-yr term with Board.

The Association for Manufacturing Technology Elects New Board of Directors and Officers

McLean, Va. . . . AMT - The Association For Manufacturing Technology elected its 2009-2010 officers and directors on Friday, October 23, at its 2009 Annual Meeting in Orlando, Florida.

The Board of Directors of the association, which represents more than 400 American manufacturers of machine tools, manufacturing machinery and related products, elected Daniel D. Janka, President, MAG Global, Hebron, Ky., as Chairman. He follows Ronald F. Schildge, President, Eitel Presses, Inc., Orwigsburg, Pa. Mr. Schildge will now serve the association as an Ex Officio member of its Board of Directors, along with Doug Currie, President & CEO, Erie Press Systems, Erie, Pa.

The Board elected Eugene R. Haffely, Jr., Chief Operating Officer, Assembly & Test Worldwide, Inc., Dayton, Ohio, to serve as First Vice Chairman in the coming year. Also elected was Timothy B. Dining, President & CEO, Greenerd Press and Machine Company, Inc., Nashua, N.H., to serve as Second Vice Chairman & Treasurer.

Kim W. Beck, President & CEO, Automatic Feed Co., Napoleon, Ohio, will continue to serve as Secretary.

Newly elected to a three-year term as a member of the association's Board of Directors is Steven R. Stokey, Executive Vice President, Allied Machine & Engineering Corp., Dover, Ohio. Carl Reed, President & CEO, Abbott Workholding Products, Manhattan, Kan., will return for a three-year term.

Daniel D. Janka is President, MAG Global, Hebron, Ky. Prior to that, he was President, Cincinnati Technologies, MAG Global, Hebron, Ky. He formerly served as Executive Vice President of Cincinnati Lamb, a company comprised of the merged Cincinnati Machine and Lamb Technicon operations. He joined Cincinnati Milacron's Machine Tool Group in 1984. Mr. Janka holds a B.A. in industrial engineering & technology from Southern Illinois University. He also attended the American Management Association's (AMA) Curriculum for Presidents and the University of Cincinnati's Advanced Management Program.

Eugene R. Haffely, Jr., is Chief Operating Officer, Assembly & Test Worldwide, Dayton, Ohio. He previously served as Group President - Assembly Systems Group of Assembly & Test Worldwide. Mr. Haffely was a co-founder of Advanced Assembly Automation (AAA) (founded in 1984) and served as Vice President of Operations until 1996. Mr. Haffely then served as President of Hansford Manufacturing, a Division of DT Industries and as the Corporate Vice President of Operations for DT Industries from 1997 through 1999 when he returned to AAA as President. Mr. Haffely graduated Cum Laude from the University of Wisconsin with a B.S. in computer and electrical engineering.

Timothy B. Dining is the President & CEO of Greenerd Press & Machine Company, Inc., Nashua, N.H., a position he has held since 2000. Prior to joining the 125-year old manufacturer of hydraulic presses, he was Vice President, Operations, for Labsphere, Inc., in North Sutton, N.H. Before that, he served as Vice President, Operations, for WPI Power Systems and WPI Electronics. Mr. Dining is a Dartmouth College graduate, with a B.S. in psychology. He also holds an M.B.A. from The Whittemore School of Business and Economics at the University of New Hampshire.

Kim W. Beck is President & CEO of Automatic Feed Co., Napoleon, Ohio. He joined Automatic Feed as a salesman in 1975 and became President in 1982. A graduate of Hillsdale College, he is involved with many civic associations. He has been an active member of AMT and has served on several committees of the association. Mr. Beck earlier served on the AMT Board of Directors from 1993 to 2003, and was Chairman of the Board in 2000-2001.

Steven R. Stokey is Executive Vice President and part owner of Allied Machine & Engineering Corp. in Dover, Ohio. Mr. Stokey joined the company full time in 1987 after earning his degree in industrial and systems engineering from The Ohio State University. He has served in various roles within the organization with a heavy emphasis in manufacturing engineering, process development and quality management systems. Currently, he and his brother Mike oversee the day-to-day operations of the company.

Carl Reed is President & CEO, Abbott Workholding Products, Manhattan, Kan. He purchased the company in 1990 after serving in various positions in semi-conductor manufacturing and aerospace component firms. He is an industrial technology graduate of Arizona State University and a former naval aviator. Mr. Reed is a member of the AMT Government Relations Committee and the Advanced Workholding Technology Group. He previously served on the AMT Board of Directors from 2007 - 2009. He has been elected to serve another three-year term.
