Hydraulic Institute and TAPPI Announce Partnership

Parsippany, NJ, September 15, 2009 --- The Hydraulic Institute (HI) and the Technical Association of Pulp and Paper Industry (TAPPI) announced today that they have partnered to provide their memberships with a direct link to purchase industry leading pump standards specific to pumps installed or required in the pulp and paper industry.

Pulp and paper mills are pump intensive facilities, with an average of 150 pumps per pulp mill and 50 pumps per paper mill. Specific HI standards are useful supplements to the TAPPI library of standards. By utilizing HI standards, pulp and paper companies can increase pumps and systems reliability, accurately determine pump performance, reduce life cycle costs and energy, decrease design costs and avoid miscommunication.

Hydraulic Institute has created a customized page on their website designed to simplify the process of locating and purchasing the standards that are most valuable for pump professionals in the pulp and paper industry.
