UFP Technologies, Inc.

Release date: August 5, 2009

Georgetown, MA -- United Foam, a UFP Technologies brand, announced today that it has been named a distributor of Pelican® Storm Cases and Pelican's Hardigg® case product lines. United Foam - named a Pelican Products distributor in August 2008 - now has access to Pelican's complete line of cases that were gained through their acquisition of Hardigg Industries in January 2009.

The addition of Pelican Storm Cases includes over 70 injected molded cases to United Foam's inventory. Pelican Storm Cases, originally manufactured by Hardigg, expands upon Pelican's injection molded protective case line by providing new sizes and designs.

United Foam has gained full access to Pelican's Hardigg rotationally molded cases including their Black Box(TM) Rack Mount product line. Rotationally molded cases are manufactured in a way that provides extra protection around the corners and edges of the case. The added material provides superior protection under the harshest shipping and handling conditions.

United Foam's ability to offer a full breath of premium rotationally molded and injection molded cases along with an entire range of foams and fabrication capabilities offers our customers unparalleled choice for case solutions.

With nine US locations, United Foam's geographic footprint matches well with Pelican's newly acquired case center locations. A majority of United Foam's protective case projects will be completed through its brand - United Case(TM) - that specializes in fabricating custom foam inserts for the interiors of protective cases.

About United Foam United Foam, a UFP Technologies (NASDAQ - UFPT) brand, creates high-performance packaging, part and product solutions from an array of foams, plastics and specialty fabrics.
