American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Release date: July 2, 2009
People on the Move spotlights trailblazers in standardization, highlighting their latest achievements, advancements, and contributions to the standards community.
The U.S. Green Building Council, an ANSI member and accredited standards developer, recently announced the appointment of Dr. Christopher Pyke as research director. With a strong background of leadership in green building research, Dr. Pyke will lead USGBC's research team while contributing to the ongoing development of the LEED green building certification program. He will also support USGBC's work with the Clinton Climate Initiative's Climate Positive Development Program.
Formerly the national director of climate change services for CTG Energetics, he holds a Ph.D. in geography from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
