Federal Signal Corp., Signal Div./Electrical Products

Release date: November 12, 2008

HOUSTON (Nov. 12, 2008) - Jetstream of Houston, manufacturer of high-quality waterblasters, parts and accessories, was recently named as one of the Best Companies to Work for in Texas 2009. The company was awarded the honor by Texas Monthly magazine, the Texas Association of Business (TAB), the Texas State Council of the Society for Human Resource Management (TSC-SHRM) and Best Companies Group as part of a statewide initiative to find and recognize the 100 best employers in Texas. Jetstream will be recognized and honored at the Best Companies to Work for in Texas awards ceremony on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2009, at the Texas Association of Business 2009 Annual Conference. The final rankings will be announced at the conference.

"Being named as one of the 'Best Companies to Work for in Texas' is an amazing achievement for Jetstream," said Bill Krupowicz, vice president and general manager, Jetstream. "The passion and dedication of our employees is a key factor in Jetstream's success. They take great pride in being part of this company and it shows in our commitment to delivering superior products, services and solutions to our customers. I congratulate and thank each and every one of our employees who helped us earn this prestigious award."

To be considered for participation, Jetstream had to fulfill several initial eligibility requirements, including having at least 15 employees in Texas, being a publicly or privately held business, having a facility in the state of Texas and being in business a minimum of one year. Once these eligibility requirements were established, Jetstream participated in a detailed selection process along with several other companies.

The selection process, conducted by Best Companies Group, consisted of an assessment of Jetstream's workplace policies, practices, and demographics, as well as the results of an employee survey to measure the company's employee experience. The combined scores of the assessment and the survey determined the top companies and the final ranking. Best Companies Group analyzed the data and used their expertise to determine the final rankings.

Created in 2006, the Best Companies to Work for in Texas survey and awards program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Texas, benefiting the state's economy, its workforce and businesses. The Best Companies to Work for in Texas 2009 list is made up of 100 companies. For more information on the program, visit www.bestcompaniestx.com or contact Jackie Miller at 877/455-2159.
