TIA launches 3 new membership offerings for the year.

November 7, 2008 - The TIA membership programs launched for the year so far include the NASA Federal Credit Union, free webpage service, and The Business Owner newsletter. In addition, eBay Motors Installer Network remains the most popular member service. With the potential savings value of TIA memberships of over $23,000/yr, "...this means that a tire dealer could potentially avoid painful cuts, which could affect their families, their staff, and even their customers," says Roy Littlefield.

TIA Boosts Membership Offerings for the Year; Members Can Potentially Save as Much as $23,662 per Year by Using TIA Member Programs

Tire Industry Association

Bowie, MD - The Tire Industry Association (TIA) has launched three brand-new member programs (NASA Federal Credit Union, free webpage service and The Business Owner newsletter) for the year so far. These additions mean that TIA member programs have expanded by over 20 percent. But, more importantly, these valuable program additions have grown the potential value of TIA membership to over $23,662 a year. This is the largest growth that TIA has experienced in the association's history.

In addition, TIA's member offering with the eBay Motors Installer Network remains the most popular member service. As an added plus, eBay has made sure that TIA's member dealers continue to receive prime placement on the eBay Motors Installer Network page. To date, over 4,100 eligible dealers are participating in this program, and over 600 members have inquired about it.

"With economic conditions continuing to deteriorate, tire dealers need to find every means possible for increasing revenue and decreasing expenses. Through TIA member programs like the CarCareONE consumer credit card, Meadowbrook workers' comp insurance and eBay Motors, TIA is saying more than an abstract 'we have great programs;' we're showing specific, easy ways that tire dealers can both increase their customer base and potentially save over $23,000 a year," said TIA Executive Vice President Roy Littlefield. He added, " . . . these significant TIA member savings mean that a tire dealer could potentially avoid painful cuts, which could affect their families, their staff, and even their customers."

For more information on TIA membership, visit www.tireindustry.org, and click on the "Member Services" tab, or call Megan Walsh at 800-876-8372, ext. 112, or Will Cabana at ext. 140.

TIA is an international association representing all segments of the tire industry, including those that manufacture, repair, recycle, sell, service or use new or retreaded tires, and also those suppliers or individuals who furnish equipment, material or services to the industry. The Tire Industry Association (TIA) has a history that spans more than 80 years and includes several name changes. Originally known as the National Tire Dealers & Retreaders Association (NTDRA), the organization gave birth over the years to the American Retreaders Association (ARA) and the Tire Association of North America (TANA). ARA changed its name to the International Tire & Rubber Association (ITRA) and merged with TANA in 2002 to form the current Tire Industry Association (TIA), which now represents every interest in the tire industry.
