OMAC Releases Call for Papers for Co-Located 2009 Event Automation Federation Release date: October 16, 2008
Research Triangle Park, NC (16 October 2008) - OMAC has launched the Call for Papers for the 2009 OMAC Integration Symposium--co-located with the WBF 2009 North American Conference. These co-located events will be held May 4-6, 2009, at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel & Convention Center in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. Both organizations are accepting abstracts for the co-located event until November 14, 2008.
The 2009 OMAC Integration Symposium is designed to help attendees learn from experiences with real world projects related to current and evolving manufacturing methods and technologies in packaging, machine tools, robotics, emerging technologies, operations management, and the implementation of industry standards, including OMAC Connect-and-Pack(TM), ISA88, and Make2Pack.
Both the 2009 OMAC Integration Symposium and the WBF 2009 North American Conference will construct their events around the theme "Expanding the Horizons of Manufacturing: Learning and Sharing with the Leaders in Automation and Manufacturing." Individuals interested in submitting an abstract should use this theme as a guide for his or her presentation topic.
Abstracts should be concise and comprehensible and include the paper title, keywords, introductory sentence(s) that creates interest in the topic, a brief definition of problem domain, a brief description of solution method (no details), and a brief summary of results and conclusions (no details). Abstracts must be in English and should be between 100-250 words.
OMAC is asking for papers related to, but not limited to: o Expanding the Horizons of Packaging Manufacturing o Expanding the Horizons of Machine Tool Manufacturing o Expanding the Horizons of Manufacturing through Emerging Technologies o Expanding the Horizons of Manufacturing through Robotics Technologies o Expanding the Horizons of Manufacturing Operations Management
