Engineering Systems Inc. Release date: February 1, 2008
Aurora, IL - - Engineering Systems Inc. held a Grand Opening event last October to show off its new 13,000 square foot full service forensic, failure analysis laboratory and consulting engineering services facility. "We were able to invite hundreds of our clients, their colleagues and others from the area" says ESI President and COO Nelson Koopman "and introduce those who came to our new staff in a casual, relaxed manner."
Attendees were treated to a brief walk-through tour of the facility, introductions and casual conversations with ESI staff from ESI-Colorado, Illinois and Georgia, plus enjoy hors d'oeuvres, and refreshments.
The new ESI office, headed by Mike Stevenson, Ph.D., P.E., ESI VP and Director of Georgia Operations added "It was good to meet some of the established ESI clients. It seemed everyone learned something about ESI, while we learned about them. Having this large of a facility in the heart of the southeast is a benefit to many clients. We're getting work from all over the US, and we are already looking to expand our staff."
The strengths of the new ESI-Georgia operation cover such areas as failure analysis, forensic investigation, consulting and laboratory testing. Some areas include materials and metallurgical investigations, laboratory testing, commercial and residential fire and explosion investigations, applied mechanics, finite element analysis (FEA), and civil/structural engineering work.
