Greenville, SC: Louis P. Batson Company announces the signing of an exclusive sales contract to represent Techniservice of Kennett Square, Pennsylvania.
With the agreement, Louis P. Batson Company will sell Techniservice's SPLICE-AIRE ® yarn joiner equipment throughout the United States.
The SPLICE-AIRE ® yarn joiner eliminates the need to knot yarn ends by entangling their fibers. The entangling of the fibers is achieved by using a short burst of compressed air to make a permanent joint between the yarn ends.
Knotless yarns eliminate:
o Fabrics defects o Picking with removal of yarn from cones o Processing problems thru guides, discs, and eyelets.
The equipment is particularly effective with filament yarns. SPLICE-AIRE ® actually produces a stronger bond than the parent yarns, in many cases. SPLICE-AIRE ® is also effective on undrawn and POY filament yarns.
There are two Models of the SPLICE-AIRE ® yarn joiner. Model PJ-350-1 can be used on yarns with a denier up to approximately 4,000. For yarn deniers ranging between 4,000 to 10,000, Model PJ-350-3 is used.
According to Mr. Dreugh Batson, Group Manager of Louis P. Batson Company, "We welcome the addition of Techniservice. They are a company recognized in the textile industry, with a long history in textile equipment and supplies. We look forward to offering the sales and service of this well-established company."
