HBS StudWelding, Inc. - North American Headquarters

Release date: August 27, 2008

HBS in conjunction with their 5 regional distributors has announced the release of a full range of Inverter technology Stud Welding machines.

Inverter power sources with stud welding capacities of M3 to M24 (#4 to 1"), including through deck and headed anchor studs, provide the first truly innovative and cost effective system available today. With the IT line of Stud Welding systems it is no longer necessary haul around the traditional heavy units weighing 500 to 950 pounds, driven by 225 kW generators. Each of the HBS units is highly mobile with the heaviest a conservative 353 lbs driven by much smaller 125 kW gen set.

In addition to having a diesel fuel consumption savings of up to $100 per day several other cost effectiveness factors must be considered. A 125 kW diesel generator cost at least 25% less than the 225 kW equipment. Additionally, mobility is key. The largest Inverter, IT3002 and the 125 kW generators can be transported from job site to job site with a Heavy Duty ½ ton pickup where traditional systems take much larger vehicles. Mobility is also a factor on the construction site. The equipment is constructed with sturdy wheels making relocation, with out the need of heavy lifting devices.

Full details on specifications and local HBS representation can be found on the web site: www.hbs-studwelding.com.
