Release date: August 25, 2008

-- Single Phase Online UPS Ideally Suited for Mission Critical Datacom, VoIP, Retail, Industrial & Medical Imaging Applications --

LIBERTYVILLE, IL, August 25, 2008 - Positioning itself aggressively for leadership in the power quality marketplace, Chloride has expanded its Sinergy® uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) product line to include the Sinergy S II series single-phase UPS.

Ideally suited for a wide range of critical telecommunications, datacom, Voice over IP, retail, industrial and medical imaging applications, the Sinergy S II features online double conversion technology to handle irregularities in the electrical system and render brief power disruptions harmless, while also providing battery back-up to bridge prolonged power outages - - all at an affordable price.

"Even a brief power interruption or outage can cause costly processing errors, data loss or software and hardware damage," said Yolanda Hernandez, Director of Marketing, Chloride North America. "Ensuring consistent, quality power to sensitive electronics equipment with the Sinergy S II will make a positive financial impact on an organization's bottom line."

Flexibly designed in a rack/tower configuration, the Sinergy S II Series UPS is offered in both a low voltage (120V) model (700 VA, 1 kVA, 1.5 kVA, 2 kVA, 3kVA) as well as two high-voltage (200-240V) versions (2 kVA and 3 kVA). Low voltage models are designed for operation in North America and carry the UL/cUL mark. High voltage models are global solutions, and carry the UL/cUL and CE marks. All Sinergy S II Series UPS models operate at 50 or 60 Hz, and feature automatic bypass, controllable receptacles, and a remote power off (RPO) adapter. Hot swappable internal batteries can be changed without shutting down the unit, further simplifying maintenance.

Operators will appreciate the unit's comprehensive front panel LEDs that provide a visual indication of status, load, and runtime. All operational and load conditions are indicated on the front panel display. In addition, the UPS sends an audible warning signal at 4-second intervals indicating critical operational conditions. Extended runtime capability allows back up power protection for up to four hours in most applications.
