Hobart Brothers to Display Latest Filler Metals at FABTECH International / AWS Welding Show
The Boilermaker family of stick electrodes (18, A1, B2 and B3) has been specifically designed to provide X-ray quality welds on challenging boiler tube repairs. To help reduce rework and clean up, these electrodes have low spatter levels and easy slag removal, along with porosity-free arc starts and stops.
Hobart Brothers' selection of all-position gas-shielded flux-cored wires include TM-711M, Triple 7 and Excel Arc 71, all of which meet AWS E71T-1C and E71T-1M specifications and provide a quick-freezing slag that helps welding operators achieve good weld bead contours. The Excel-Arc 71 has the additional benefit of also meeting AWS E71T-9C and E71T-9M specifications for applications with lower temperature impact requirements. Each of the wires offers a penetrating arc with high deposition rates, along with the flexibility to use 100% C02 or 75% Argon/25% C02 for general fabrication applications.
Finally, the 900-lb. recyclable X-Pak for metal-cored welding wire will be displayed during the show. The X-Pak measures 35-inches tall, 23 inches in diameter and is comprised of 100-percent recyclable fiber to minimize downtime for drum disposal. Compared to standard 600-lb. drums, the 900-lb. X-Pak minimizes the number of changeovers necessary per month/year by approximately 33-percent.
