Horton, Inc.

Release date: July 16, 2008

ROSEVILLE, Minn.-Horton has appointed two staff members as senior vice presidents and general managers of product lines in a move toward a more efficient, decentralized organization. Jeff Lindgren is now the senior vice president of sales and marketing and general manager of the Britton, S.D., plant and fan drive product lines. Steve Wardleworth is now the senior vice president of operations and general manager of the Carmel, Ind., plant and fan and shroud product lines.

"This restructuring will move us toward greater ownership and profitability of business lines and plants," says Dave Adams, president and chief executive officer of Horton. "Jeff Lindgren and Steve Wardleworth have decades of experience between them, which will serve Horton's future well."

Jeff Lindgren has overseen Horton, Inc., sales, marketing, engineering, production, finance, IT and human resources functions. Lindgren has been with Horton for eight years, most recently as vice president of sales and marketing and, prior to that, director of aftermarket sales. Before joining Horton, he was director of sales for Holley Performance Products, Inc. (Bowling Green, Ky.), a leader in the worldwide performance engine market; and regional sales manager for BWD Automotive (Franklin Park, Ill.), part of Dana's Automotive Aftermarket Group and a distributor and marketer of replacement auto parts for foreign and domestic vehicles.

Steve Wardleworth joined Horton in 2005 and most recently was vice president of manufacturing. He oversaw Horton manufacturing facilities around the world, corporate purchasing and lean six sigma initiatives. He has more than 30 years of experience in manufacturing and supply chain management. Previously, he was executive director, strategic procurement and manufacturing at McQuay International, a manufacturer of HVAC products. He also held senior positions in manufacturing and procurement management with Cummins Power Generation, a subsidiary of Cummins, Inc. Wardleworth was managing director of Cummins' power generation operations in Australia and the United Kingdom, where he oversaw construction of a $27-million manufacturing facility.

With more than 55 years of industry experience and a commitment to service, reliability, innovation and the environment, Horton is a worldwide leader in airflow management, providing fan drives, fans and suspension products. Horton's comprehensive research and development processes are driven by a dedication to exceed the industry requirements today and in the future. The company has manufacturing plants in the United States and Germany, with a licensed manufacturing facility in Australia, and sales offices in the United States, Germany, South Korea, Mexico, Brazil and Australia.
