DMAI hosts 94th annual convention in Las Vegas.


June 11, 2008 - Scheduled for July 28-30, DMAI Annual Convention will include Niche Roundtable Sessions, which will take place before official convention starts and focus on specialized destination markets of university towns and gaming destinations. Interactive Learning Shirtsleeve Sessions will allow colleagues to meet in smaller groups to discuss contemporary issues and topics of specific interest in their areas of expertise.

Niche Roundtable Sessions
Monday 28 July, 1:30 - 3:30 p.m.
Niche Roundtable Sessions -- which take place before the official convention start -- focus on the specialized destination markets of university towns and gaming destinations. Plan now to bring your experiences to the table for these interactive discussion sessions.

University Towns: The influence of local educational institutions can greatly affect the economic and social life of a destination.

Gaming Destinations: As gaming increases in many cities and towns, it continues to evolve, creating a whole set of unique opportunities and challenges for destinations.

Interactive Learning Shirtsleeve Sessions
Tuesday 29 July, 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Interactive Learning Shirtsleeve sessions allow colleagues to meet in smaller groups to discuss contemporary issues and topics of specific interest to their areas of expertise.

Groups meeting include CEO (based on budget size), convention sales & marketing, communications/public relations, finance/administration, consumer & leisure marketing, membership, research, students, technology, tourism marketing and visitor services.
