Scheduled for June 8-12 in Atlanta, GA, AWWA Annual Conference and Exposition is expected to draw more than 10,000 water professionals and 500 exhibitors. Professional program will include specialized water resources track, with sessions looking at water desalting, source water protection, planning and management, and groundwater. Conservation track will focus on water rates, drought planning, conserving energy, and new conservation tools.
Denver, CO - As the summer months begin and communities around North America closely examine their water resources needs, water professionals from throughout the world will gather to address water planning, management, efficiency, and conservation during the American Water Works Association's (AWWA), Annual Conference and Exposition (ACE08) in Atlanta, Georgia June 8-12.
The conference's professional program will include a specialized water resources track, with sessions looking at water desalting, source water protection, planning and management, and groundwater. A conservation track will focus on water rates, drought planning, conserving energy and new conservation tools. Sessions regarding water resources and conservation can be found in other tracks as well, including communications related to water conservation, Georgia's approach to water resource management, the future of water supply in Georgia, climate change and its effect on resources and water reuse.
Exhibitors participating in the Product Information Forum will address metering and monitoring to reduce water loss and new technologies to replace water pipes.
About the World's Water Event ACE08, June 8-12, 2008, is expected to draw more than 10,000 water professionals and 500 exhibitors. It will feature a professional program with approximately 90 sessions and 14 in-depth Sunday Workshops. Topics covered will include infrastructure management and water rates, drought and source water supply, distribution and water quality issues, communicating about water issues, workforce challenges, and legislative and regulatory issues.
