Scheduled for May 7-8, 2008, invitation-only Leadership Summit will feature keynote address by Chuck Rumbarger, President of Organization Guidance Group, on leadership and power of associations. Robert N. Bradshaw, Jr, CEO of Independent Insurance Agents of Virginia, will discuss how to understand basics of legislative issues. And RIA's Executive Director, Donald Manger, will facilitate discussion of how to use power of associations to effect positive legislative changes.
Columbia, MD - The Restoration Industry Association (RIA, formerly ASCR) is holding its first-ever, invitation-only Leadership Summit involving RIA leaders and certificants, as well as prominent individuals from within the industry on May 7-8, 2008. The Summit is being held in Silver Spring, Maryland. The first day of the Summit will feature a keynote address by Chuck Rumbarger, president of the Organization Guidance Group, on leadership and the power of associations. Robert N. Bradshaw, Jr., CEO of Independent Insurance Agents of Virginia, will discuss how to understand the basics of legislative issues. And RIA's Executive Director, Donald Manger, will facilitate the discussion of how to use the power of associations to effect positive legislative changes for an industry.
"This event exemplifies the role of associations within an industry," said Manger. "It also incorporates our mission to provide industry leadership and promote best practices for cleaning and restoration."

Leaders from Disaster Kleenup International, the Indoor Air Quality Association and the National Air Duct Cleaners Association are also participating in the Summit. Day two will involve an overview and discussion of RIA's Certified RestorerSM program.
The Restoration Industry Association (formerly the Association of Specialists in Cleaning & Restoration) has member firms worldwide.
