ISG High-Performance Low-Cost Line Scan Cameras Used in Spectroscopy
Rochester, NY -The Imaging Solutions Group (ISG) announces the availability of High Performance Low-Cost Line Scan Cameras for Spectroscopy applications.The LW-ELIS-1024a-1394 (14-bit) has rectangular pixels optimized for Spectroscopy while the LW-ELIS-1024a-1394 (14-bit) is optimized for sample rate speed and resolution.The Spectroscopy market is asking for low cost solutions. The LW-ELIS-1024a-1394 (14-bit) and LW-SLIS-2048a-1394 (12-bit) are the only FireWire(tm) IEEE-1394 based Line Scan Cameras on the market. The low-cost IEEE-1394 IIDC DCAM Specification Version 1.3 compliant cameras do not need expensive frame grabbers or other hardware to operate. The cameras can sample at rates of 10,000 samples per second with full bit-depth over the IEEE-1394 FireWire(tm) bandwidth. This makes for an easy to use high performance Spectrosopy solution at prices not seen before.
While more elaborate spectroscopy systems exist, they are primarily much higher cost. "The spectroscopy market needs solutions that are low-cost and easy to use," says ISG's, Kerry Van Iseghem. "Univeristy and Scientific agencies have limited budgets and these cameras fit their requirements", he added.
