Little Neck, New York, April 2, 2008 - A solar-powered water heater, a water-saving commode, a door lock that comes with its own re-keying technology and Leviton's Acenti® Triplex and Sixplex electrical outlets were among a distinguished group of products recently named by Newsday columnist Gary Dymksi in his Best Ideas from the Builders' Show column. The elite group of products caught the journalist's eye during his attendance at the 2008 International Builders' Show (IBS), known as the preeminent event in home building circles. Leviton's Acenti Triplex Receptacle, the industry's first receptacle to accommodate three plugs, fits in the same size wallbox as a duplex receptacle, and eliminates the need for a power strip or adapter when an additional electrical connection is required. The top and bottom outlets on the receptacle are reversed so that low-voltage transformer-style plugs can be inserted without blocking the other outlets.
Leviton's Acenti Surge-Protected Sixplex Receptacle provides surge protection for up to six plugs. Like the Triplex, it can accommodate low-voltage transformer-style plugs without their blocking the other outlets. The Sixplex installs in a 2-gang wallbox and is ideal for home office and home theater connections, and for other locations where a large number of home electronics or appliances need to be connected to a surge-protected power source.

In multi-gang installations, Acenti's unique wallplate design eliminates the webbing between each device, creating a sleek, minimalist look. Acenti devices and wallplates come in a range of natural colors to blend with any interior decor. Wallplates are also available in stainless steel, polished chrome and gold finishes.
