Carl Zeiss Microimaging, Inc.

Release date: March 12, 2008

Thornwood, N.Y. - Carl Zeiss MicroImaging Inc., a leading provider of microscopy solutions for a variety of research, clinical and industrial applications, announces its new theme, "Listen to the Sound of Science," for the market launch of the new LSM 710 and LSM 710 NLO laser scanning microscopes.

The theme plays on the similarities between science and music, where excellence in virtuosi and instruments harmonize to create a climactic result. With this theme in mind, ZEISS has made significant advances in the development of laser scanning microscopy. Consistent innovation has led to the development of the LSM 710 system, which unlocks the door to a new dimension of sensitivity. The chosen theme uses a sensitive yet dynamic performance of a pianist performing on a concert piano, bringing this technology to life.

The LSM 710 and LSM 710 NLO feature technology that was jointly developed with world-leading researchers to bring forth new possibilities in fluorescence experimentation and lead to faster, more reliable results. Advanced versions of the instruments include special solutions for Live Cell Imaging, Multi Photon Imaging and Single Molecule Analysis using Imaging Correlation Spectroscopy.
