Terex Corp.

Release date: February 28, 2008

Westport, Conn. (February 28, 2008) - Terex Corporation will participate in the 2008 ConExpo-Con/Agg Exposition, March 11-15 at the Las Vegas Convention Center displaying a diverse array of both new and improved products including: aerial work platforms; light, compact and heavy construction equipment; material handlers; cranes; crushers and screeners; mining; and road building equipment.

Visitors to the Terex booth, number G-200 in the Gold Lot, will also have the opportunity to meet Mike Rowe, creator and star of the Discovery Channel® hit series "Dirty Jobs." Rowe will be featured at the Terex booth Tuesday, March 12 through Thursday, March 14. By serving as an apprentice to everyday men and women who perform the jobs no one else wants, Rowe has found a hands-on way to pay tribute to a nation of unsung heroes, and get more than a few laughs along the way.

Among the Terex product highlights at ConExpo:

Terex Aerial Work Platforms The new Genie® S(TM)-60 and S(TM)-65 Trax Telescopic Booms offer operators exceptional traction and flotation for easy maneuvering around jobsites, even on challenging terrain. Because of their innovative design, Genie® Trax booms also allow contractors to operate on sensitive surfaces year-round.

The Genie® GTH(TM)-5519 Telehandler has been re-engineered to improve performance and serviceability while keeping the machine affordable and simple to use. Enhancements include a new cab, new engine options and an easy-to-service hydraulic system.

Terex Construction Terex Construction will take full advantage of the opportunity to demonstrate the significant benefits of the unique independent front suspension system and integral wet disc brakes on the new Terex® TA30 articulated hauler on display at ConExpo.

Terex will also show its new TA2S 2-ton site dumper for the first time at the show. The Terex® TA2S will replace the PS2000 when it enters production later this year. Terex designed the TA2S with narrower dimensions and a smaller turning circle than its predecessors to enhance maneuverability so that it can work more efficiently in tight places. The TA2S is a standard discharge, swivel-tip site dumper with a 2-ton (4400 lbs) capacity. It is perfectly matched to the bucket capacity of a mini excavator and ideally suited to the smaller contractor and rental market.

In addition, the new TL210 mid-sized wheel loader has received a powerful update in a very competitive market segment which consists of a robust 162 hp (120 kW) turbo diesel engine and a technologically advanced "hydrotransmatic" drive system.

Terex Cranes The Terex® Demag AC 100/4 all-terrain crane will be on display for the first time in the U.S. market. It is currently the strongest 120-ton (100 metric tons), four-axle crane (at maximum counterweight). The AC100/4 has a system length of 252 ft (77 m), with a 50 m telescopic boom plus 26 - 62 ft (8 - 19 m) of main boom extension.

The new Terex® HC 230 crawler crane is an innovative machine in the medium lifting capacity range, offering 253 tons (230 metric tons) of lifting capacity at a reach of 14 ft, when equipped with a 77 SI boom/ Hammerhead tip. Terex® Comedil will showcase the new range of Flat Top tower cranes, the medium CTT series, which is placed in between the already successful City and Big series.

With a lifting capacity of 120 tons, the new Terex® RT 1120 is currently one of the most powerful rough-terrain cranes in the U.S. market. A 5-section, 3-mode boom forms the basis for the boom system. The new stinger-class Terex® BT 4792 truck crane has lifting capacity of 47,000 lbs and total weight of 60,000 lbs. In addition to standard crane applications, it can easily mount a working cage for one or two persons and a working platform to expand the crane operator's options.

Terex Materials Processing & Mining Terex Mining is unveiling two new products-the R30C hydraulic track drill from Terex® Reedrill and the RC5 hammer from Terex® Halco. Both new products are highly anticipated additions to Terex Mining's formidable model lineup and offer features and benefits that place them at the forefront of their respective markets. The R30C hydraulic track drill and RC5 hammer both showcase the versatility, power and ease of use that are hallmarks of the product lines.

Terex Roadbuilding The Terex Roadbuilding group will feature the latest advancements for Terex® asphalt plant equipment, including the latest plant options available for producing warm mix asphalt.

Terex Roadbuilding recently entered the utility mill market with four new models. Making their tradeshow debut will be the PR165 and PR330 cold planers. Also, the Terex® CR552 mainline paver will be equipped with the new VersaScreed 210 front extendable screed with hydraulically variable paving widths reaching 18 ft, 6 in (5.6 m).

Also on display at ConExpo will be the Terex® RS350 reclaimer/stabilizer with a new operator's cab. In addition, 2008 will be the year of the Super Paver Wear Guarantee that applies to CR300, CR400 and CR500 Series asphalt pavers purchased from Terex Roadbuilding in 2008. The guarantee covers the rubber tracks, slat bars, slat drive chains and conveyor floor liners.

The Terex® front discharge transit-mix truck on display will feature the exclusive Total Control System that now incorporates into a single electric-over-hydraulic joystick control of forward/reverse truck travel at the job site as well as drum start/stop, material charge/discharge, main chute up/down and left/right, and fold/unfold of the optional hydraulic folding chutes.
