Having successfully passed Responsible Distribution Process Document Verification, Regular members are entitled to all Association benefits. Regular members are required to demonstrate implementation of environmental, health, safety, and security policies and procedures under RDP's Code of Management Practice to independent 3rd party verifier in second verification, RDP Verification. RDPV, an on-site verification, is required once every 36 months.
Nine NACD Candidate Companies Achieve Full Membership Status
The National Association of Chemical Distributors (NACD) is pleased to announce that the following Candidate members of the Class of 2007 have successfully passed NACD's Responsible Distribution ProcessSM (RDP) Document Verification, demonstrating their organizations' policies and procedures sufficiently address the requirements within the RDP Code of Management Practice. Having successfully passed RDP Document Verification, the following members are now Regular members of NACD and are entitled to all Association benefits: o Advanced Chemical Logistics, LTD., Fort Worth, TX o Connell Bros. "We are very pleased to welcome these nine companies as full-standing members of NACD. They are now in line with all other member companies to undergo RDP Verification, NACD's on-site management systems verification. Their commitment provides additional credibility to RDP and further recognition of NACD members as chemical industry leaders in EHS&S performance," stated NACD's President Chris Jahn.
Regular NACD members are required to successfully demonstrate the implementation of their environmental, health, safety, and security (EHS&S) policies and procedures under RDP's Code of Management Practice to an independent third-party verifier in a second verification - RDP Verification (RDPV). RDPV, an on-site verification, is required once every thirty-six months and has been a condition of membership in NACD since 1997. These nine new Regular member companies will be scheduled for an RDPV during the current 2007-2009 cycle.
In keeping with RDP's goal for continuous improvement, significant enhancements were incorporated into this 3rd-cycle on-site RDP Verification process. RDP Verification is and has been management systems-based, and now also addresses operationally-based EHS&S issues applicable to the site being verified.
NACD's independent, third-party verifier for this three-year RDP Document Verification cycle is Compliance Solutions Group LLC of Baton Rouge, LA. Verifications of NACD member companies are ongoing.
