Press Release

Mono Nov Group

Release date: February 5, 2008

Mono® NOV's First Showing at Foodex Meatex

Mono NOV, Europe's leading designer and manufacturer of pumps, parts, grinders, screens and packaged systems, will be exhibiting its high performance solutions for the food and beverage industry for the first time at Foodex Meatex 2008.

The company will be launching a new range of hygiene pumps at the show, which will feature on the stand alongside the recently introduced Helios range of progressing cavity pumps, which are specifically designed for food and beverage applications.

The hygienic, durable and low maintenance Helios pumps minimise shear and crush damage to the pumped product and maintain a steady flow when handling viscous products. Typical applications include alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, bakery, dairy products, meat, fruit and vegetables, sauces, preserves, confectionery, fats and oils.

In addition, Mono will be promoting its range of Munchers® at the show, which provide a reliable method of macerating food and organic waste matter into a small and consistent particle size. Munchers can be combined with a Mono pump to create a complete packaged solution, which simultaneously macerates and pumps a product, smoothly and efficiently.

Nichola Vasconcellos, marketing manager at Mono, commented: "Mono has designed and manufactured a range of pumps and macerators to meet the very individual needs of the food and beverage industry.

"We looked at how we could develop solutions to improve the efficiency of the various stages of production, including harvesting/collection and reception, process/production, waste management/recycling and off-loading. The result is a range of pumps, munchers and packaged solutions that have been specifically developed to ensure food and beverage plants can operate more effectively and efficiently.

"Foodex Meatex provides an ideal opportunity for Mono to exhibit these specialist products and, in addition to promoting the recently introduced Helios range and the successful Muncher range, we will be launching a new high performance hygienic pump at the show, providing visitors with an exclusive first look at this innovative new product."
