MEMA Promotes Earp and Wilson to Senior Vice President

Mema Service Corp

Release date: November 19, 2007

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. - The Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association announced two executive staff promotions: Wendy Earp to vice president, secretary and chief financial officer, and Ann Wilson to senior vice president of government affairs.

"Ann and Wendy are two very critically important members of the MEMA team and this recognition of their contributions to our association's success is well deserved," said Bob McKenna, MEMA president and CEO. "These promotions recognize Wendy and Ann for the outstanding jobs they are doing for the MEMA membership," he added.

About Wendy Earp

Wendy Earp is responsible for the financial management of MEMA and its market segment associations: Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA); Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association (HDMA); and Original Equipment Suppliers Association (OESA). She also directs budgeting and finance functions for the automotive-related trade associations administered by MEMA Management Services Group Inc., MEMA's association management group.

Earp joined the MEMA staff in 2001 as controller. She was promoted to director of finance in 2003 and vice president of finance in 2005. Before joining MEMA, she was an experienced audit manager for the Raleigh, N.C., office of a top-tier public accounting firm.

Earp is a graduate of North Carolina State University with a bachelor's degree in accounting and she is a certified public accountant.

About Ann Wilson

Ann Wilson joined MEMA in 2004 as the vice president of government affairs, based in the association's Washington, D.C., office. Wilson works with the association's Washington office staff in overseeing federal and state legislative and regulatory monitoring, reporting and advocacy. She develops and promotes association members' views on legislation and regulations affecting the motor vehicle supplier industry.

Wilson also coordinates the Government Affairs Committee, which consists of government affairs professionals and other executives from MEMA's three market segment associations - AASA, HDMA and OESA. The committee guides staff in establishing specific legislative, regulatory and public affairs communications goals on behalf of all MEMA members, and developing plans to achieve them.

She came to MEMA from the Rubber Manufacturers Association (RMA), Washington, D.C., where she served as the senior vice president of government affairs. Prior to joining RMA in 1998, Wilson was the vice president of government affairs for the American Moving and Storage Association (AMSA), based in Alexandria, Va. She served as state legislative council for the American Trucking Associations from 1989 to 1991.

Wilson earned her law degree from the Washington University School of Law, St. Louis, Mo. She is a cum laude graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a bachelor's degree in child advocacy.
