J. Michael Coates, Vice President of Operations at LCI, Ltd. and President of the National Association of Chemical Distributors (NACD) Southern Region, was named the 2007 Distributor of the Year by the NACD. The award was presented at NACD's 36th Annual Meeting in Las Croabas, Puerto Rico in honor of his 17 years of volunteer service to NACD. Coates served as Chairman of the NACD Operations Seminar Committee in 2004-2005 and has served on the Operations Seminar Committee since 1993.
J. Michael Coates Honored as 2007 Distributor of the Year
J. Michael Coates, Vice President of Operations at LCI, Ltd., in Jacksonville, FL, was named the 2007 Distributor of the Year by the National Association of Chemical Distributors (NACD).
The award, given annually for service to the chemical distribution industry and fellow NACD members, was presented to Coates in honor of his seventeen years of volunteer service to NACD. Coates is currently serving a two-year term as President of the NACD Southern Region. As a Regional President, he also is a member of the NACD Board of Directors. Coates served as Chairman of the NACD Operations Seminar Committee in 2004-2005, and has served on the Operations Seminar Committee since 1993. This Committee is responsible for developing the successful annual Operations Seminar and Trade Show. Coates also travels to Washington, DC, to participate in the NACD Washington Fly-In to advocate on behalf of issues of importance to NACD member companies before members of Congress and federal regulators.
The award was presented by the 2006 Distributor of the Year recipient Steven C. Quandt, Executive Vice President of Columbus Chemical Industries, Inc., Columbus, WI, at NACD's 36th Annual Meeting in Las Croabas, Puerto Rico.
