Hansen Couplings Tuthill Coupling

Release date: December 20, 2007

BEREA, Ohio - December 20, 2007 - Tuthill Coupling Group, which manufactures Hansen and Coupleurs Gromelle quick connect couplings, has acquired the QUICKSEAL line of leak testing and pressure vessel testing equipment from Tuthill Pump Group. For over 40 years, QUICKSEAL has been an industry leader in providing leak test plugs and filling connectors that have been recognized for their superior quality.

QUICKSEAL products are used for connecting vacuum and pressure lines to tubing for pressure testing, vacuum dehydrating, charging and other applications requiring a quick, leak-free, connection. A wide range of applications benefit from these cost-effective tools including air conditioning, refrigeration equipment, beverage dispensers, ice machines, drinking fountains, water heaters, furnaces, gas stoves, pumps, valves, castings, gas tanks, engine blocks, mufflers and oil systems.

"This is an excellent strategic fit which provides great product and market synergy for our distribution and OEM customers," said Brett Jaffe, Tuthill Coupling Group president. "Our quick connect couplings are appreciated by our customers for their performance and value. Now they will have the ability to purchase quick connect testing systems from us as well."

This change will allow Tuthill Pump Group, headquartered in Alsip, IL, to focus more energy on their core markets and applications.

Tuthill Coupling Group manufactures a comprehensive range of quick coupling solutions at its Berea, OH and Annemasse, France locations. Tuthill's precision products are widely marketed through a strong network of global distributorships. Tuthill Coupling Group is a part of Tuthill Corporation, which is headquartered in Burr Ridge, IL. Tuthill Corporation is a dedicated lean manufacturing organization, which provides a wide variety of industrial products and services through its eight business units.
