SYMX Technologies

Release date: November 15, 2007

MIAMI, Nov. 15 -- SYMX Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of enterprise visibility solutions using wireless networks to accurately locate and manage assets and people in multiple environments, announced today it has acquired Guest Technologies, LLC, Laguna Hills, CA, a leading provider of RFID-based interactive services systems to hospitality, entertainment and gaming venues. These guest-enabled systems provide real-time locating of individuals, amenity location, facility navigation, cashless spending, attraction reservation and venue information. The Guest Technologies System has been available at theme parks, ski resorts, casinos, cruise ships and shopping mall locations in the Americas and Europe.

This company will serve as a new SYMX division, under the name SYMX Guest Technologies, and will leverage the SYMX development and marketing infrastructure to continue to expand its technology platforms into larger venues and international markets. SYMX is planning to utilize the Guest Technologies systems to further enhance its product and service offerings, particularly its patient tracking capabilities to U.S. healthcare facilities. The Guest Technologies software and systems gives institutions an efficient method to connect, empower and communicate with its guests, providing better coordination and access to products and services, in addition to improved safety and peace-of-mind for patrons. It is that philosophy which SYMX plans to use to develop a more comprehensive offering to hospital customers.

"By combining our complementary technology portfolios, deep industry- specific domain knowledge, sales channels and customer bases, the new SYMX Guest Technologies hospitality and entertainment division establishes itself as a global leader in providing RFID real-time location technology solutions for customers, both inside and outside the four walls of their enterprise," said Andy Ramos, C.E.O. of SYMX Technologies.

Tim Giraldin, former president of Guest Technologies, will serve as President of the new SYMX Guest Technologies hospitality and entertainment division. The division will continue to be based at the former Guest Technologies headquarters building in Laguna Hills, California, and will utilize resources throughout SYMX.

"Through our merger with SYMX, we have created a business that is uniquely positioned to provide customers with an unrivaled product portfolio in the RFID world," said Giraldin. "We are blending Guest's 8 years of RFID technology and know-how with SYMX's leadership to achieve an elevated position as a global enterprise RFID leader."
