Press Release

Wisconsin Oven Corp.

Release date: June 28, 2007

Belt Conveyor Oven Cures Adhesive on Motorcycle Fenders

June 28, 2007

Wisconsin Oven designed and manufactured an electrically heated belt conveyor oven with two (2) decks, top-down airflow and a cool down. This oven is used for curing adhesive on motorcycle rear fenders. Each work chamber is 5'9" wide x 19'3" long x 2'2" high. This oven was designed with 4" tongue and groove panels, and the equipment included a horizontal split line for ease of shipping. The oven was rated for a maximum operating temperature of 500°F with a heating capacity of 144 kW.

The customer will mount three (3) fenders on a pallet jig which is lifted up on a lift table to the oven entrance. The fenders are then indexed into the oven through five (5) stations, six (6) minutes at each station totaling 30 minutes in the oven. The fenders are indexed out of the oven onto a lift table which lowers the pallet down to the cool down chamber. The fenders are then indexed into the cool down chamber through five (5) stations for six (6) minutes at each station totaling 30 minutes in the cool down. The fenders are indexed out of the cool down and the pallet is unloaded and reloaded by the operator.

This oven features a 27,000 CFM @ 20 HP recirculation blower. The cool down has a 19,500 CFM @ 20 HP push blower and 19,500 CFM @ 20 HP pull blower. There are four (4) pneumatic vertical lift doors. The fenders are conveyed through the equipment by 1" x 1" heavy duty flat wire belt conveyors.
