Customers Recognized at the Primavera 24th Annual Conference in Buena Vista, Florida

BUENA VISTA, Fla., Oct. 23 -- Primavera Systems, Inc., today announced the winners of the 2007 Primavera Excellence Awards, which were presented at its 24th Annual Conference. The Primavera Excellence Awards ceremony recognized eight customers that have achieved outstanding results in project, program, resource and portfolio management which have in turn led to high-performing business operations, significant savings and improved efficiencies.

The winners, listed in alphabetical order, are:

o Anadarko Petroleum (Houston, TX) was the winner of the Primavera Excellence Award for Power, Energy & Process. Primavera enabled Anadarko to optimize resources and provide visibility of data across all projects. It has also helped the company make more timely decisions on capital projects by effectively analyzing risk.

o Burns & McDonnell Engineering Co., Inc. (Wallingford, CT) was the winner of the Primavera Excellence Award for Engineering and Construction in the Contractor category. Burns & McDonnell integrated its Primavera system with a GIS solution to prevent a possible shutdown of construction at its $1 billion high-voltage transmission project, saving approximately $400,000 a day.

o Department of Energy, Office of Environmental Management and High Bridge Associates, Inc (Norcross, GA) were the winners of the Primavera Excellence Award for the Public Sector. Using Primavera, the DOE EM office was able to gain faster access to timely project information, significantly improving both its efficiency and productivity and enabling management to make more-informed business decisions.

o Freescale Semiconductor (Austin, TX) was the winner of the Primavera Excellence Award for Technology/Telecom. Freescale Israel uses Primavera to improve its project and resource management, increase collaboration and mitigate risk. Where Primavera is fully deployed, organizations have realized up to a 50% time savings in both reporting and scheduling by implementing the solution.

o Orange County Sanitation District (Fountain County, CA) was the winner of the Primavera Excellence Award for Engineering and Construction in the Owner category. The district has implemented a Primavera system that improved project management and forecasting abilities, helping to reduce its $2.5 billion, 17-year capital improvement program by $300 million.

o Siemens IT Solutions & Services, Inc. (Norwalk , CT) was the winner of the Primavera Excellence Award for Professional Services. The company is increasing project execution performance and improving forecasting accuracy through the use of Primavera Evolve.

o Washington Mutual (Seattle, WA) was the winner of the Primavera Excellence Award for Information Technology. WAMU has used Primavera ProSight to successfully manage its global technology portfolio. It was able to increase visibility and provide executive oversight with a significant increase in strategic business alignment.

"The Excellence Awards recognize organizations that have developed a clear vision for their business and have achieved extraordinary results," said Joel Koppelman, Primavera CEO. "The winning organizations have excelled at eliminating project failure. We hope that all of our customers will learn from their success and implement similar best practices at their own organizations."

This year, over 2000 executives, managers and project professionals attended the Primavera 24th Annual Conference, the industry's premiere conference for project, program, resource and portfolio management professionals. In addition to the Primavera Excellence Award ceremonies, attendees have participated in a wide array of technical and educational sessions, roundtable discussions, training sessions and networking events.
