ITSMF, IDC and The Injazat Institute to participate as knowledge partners during annual IT networking event

October 3, 2007

Injazat Data Systems, one of the Middle East's leading Information Technology Outsourcing (ITO) and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) companies, announced today that it will be organising ADTEK 2007, The Abu Dhabi IT Services Forum, for the second consecutive year. The Forum will be held at Hilton Abu Dhabi on the 18th, 19th and 20th of November 2007.

This year's ADTEK will be powered by three knowledge partners, ITSMF, IDC and the Injazat Institute, and will address key IT services issues and trends in the light of the booming regional IT market, particularly in Abu Dhabi.

"ADTEK is a major networking platform among the most influential professionals in the UAE IT services market. The Forum brings the industry leaders under one roof to share and discuss the latest IT Services trends in an effort to promote excellence through knowledge sharing" said Ibrahim Mohamed Lari, CEO, Injazat Data Systems: "I believe that as a market leader Injazat carries the responsibility of building a knowledge culture across the region's IT services community while reflecting the Abu Dhabi role as a regional pioneer of IT services developments." added Lari.

Injazat Data Systems expects a strong participation this year following last year's inaugural event. The Forum will serve as a strategic networking platform for UAE IT services community, including CIOs, IT managers, key decision-makers from public and private organisations and executives of major IT services companies. Major IT Services issues and trends ranging from IT Outsourcing to data centre management along with the latest services management techniques and innovations will be addressed at ADTEK 2007.

"The Forum is vital in building a strong foundation for the IT Services market in Abu Dhabi and the UAE. We are pleased to join Injazat Data Systems and to participate as a knowledge partner at ADTEK 2007" said Dr. Abdullah Abonamah, President, ITSMF - Gulf Chapter "ITSMF is committed to sharing world class IT knowledge with the UAE's IT professionals and this Forum will certainly support our efforts" added Abonamah.

Commenting on the Forum's role as a knowledge hub, Dr. Yousif Asfour, Director, The Injazat Institute said, "The Injazat Institute aims at boosting the capabilities of IT professionals in the Region, and we believe ADTEK 2007 provides a platform to share industry best practices." He then added: "Our participation in the Forum as a knowledge partner further reinforces our vision and drive of stepping up the expertise of UAE's IT professionals."

According to the latest 2006 IDC report, Injazat Data Systems was ranked first in the UAE Information System Outsourcing Foundation Market, Hosted Application Management Foundation Market and Information System Consulting Foundation Market. With this robust performance, Injazat Data Systems has joined the country's three biggest IT services players after increasing its market share from 4.5 per cent in 2005 to 6.3 per cent in 2006.

Established in the first quarter of 2005, Injazat Data Systems is an Abu Dhabi-based joint venture between Mubadala Development Company, a wholly owned investment vehicle of the government of the emirate of Abu Dhabi; and Electronic Data Systems (EDS), a global IT and business process services giant.
