Black & Veatch Names Matt Bond to Lead Regional Wastewater Practice Kansas City, Mo. (July 30, 2007) - Black & Veatch, a leading global engineering, consulting and construction company, recently named Matt Bond as Associate Vice President and Wastewater Practice Leader for the Central Region of its Americas water business. His responsibilities also include overseeing project management and serving as liaison for many clients within the region.

Bond is a nationally known leader in the wastewater industry, highlighted by his involvement in the Water Environment Federation, where he currently serves on the Board of Trustees and chairs the long-range planning committee for the organization.
Bond, a licensed professional engineer in Kansas, brings 24 years of experience, including more than 20 years previously with Black & Veatch. He has provided engineering and project management services on a number of wastewater-related projects throughout the United States and Canada. His specialty areas of expertise include nutrient removal, biosolids management, sludge dewatering, odor control and infrastructure asset management.
Prior to this appointment, Bond spent nearly three years as deputy chief engineer for a wastewater utility, where he was responsible for all existing infrastructure capital improvements projects and coordinated the development of the overall annual CIP program for the utility's six wastewater treatment plants, 32 pumping stations, and more than 2,000 miles of sewers. As Project Manager, he led the utility's 2006-07 strategic planning and asset management projects.
