Production Management Expert and Founder of Mountain Systems Brings Industry Experience, Entrepreneurial Vision, and Domain Knowledge

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA, SEPTEMBER 25, 2007- GE Fanuc Automation, a unit of GE Enterprise Solutions, today announced that Erik Udstuen would be rejoining the company to lead GE Fanuc's software business moving forward. Udstuen came to GE in 2003 through the acquisition of Mountain Systems, Inc., a company he founded to deliver innovative Manufacturing Execution System (MES) software products to essential industries worldwide.

"Erik rejoins GE Fanuc with extensive industry experience and domain knowledge," said Maryrose Sylvester, President and CEO of GE Fanuc. "He knows and understands our business well. In addition, he has the entrepreneurial vision and leadership qualities that will help us continue to leverage our investments in the Proficy software platform as well as look for additional opportunities to deliver growth across the business."

Udstuen's charge will include GE Fanuc's software portfolio made up of award-winning Production Management and HMI/SCADA software solutions. The Proficy family of integrated products includes products with capabilities ranging from Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Enterprise Manufacturing Intelligence (EMI) to supervisory HMI and SCADA systems to plant-wide historian and real-time portal. Products in the Production Management suite include Proficy Plant Applications, Proficy Historian, Proficy Real-Time Information Portal, Proficy Tracker, Proficy Batch Execution, and Proficy Shop Floor SPC. The HMI/SCADA products include iFIX and CIMPLICITY as well as Proficy Change Management that are considered standards in nearly every industry and application.
