Tinnerman Earns American Axle Award and Toyota Certificate for Quality Performance Tinnerman, a world leader in offering automotive and industrial equipment manufacturers connection engineering solutions that simplify and revolutionize the way products are assembled, was recently acknowledged for its outstanding quality and performance by American Axle & Manufacturing and Toyota Motor Manufacturing North America, Inc.
The connection engineering company most recently earned the American Axle award for perfect delivery and quality with zero defective parts-per-million delivered and 100 percent on time deliveries for more than three million parts in 2006. Tinnerman was one of eight suppliers out of 250 to have received this honor. The company was recognized for its achievement during American Axle's Supplier Day held at American Axle's corporate headquarters in Detroit.
Tinnerman was also awarded a Certificate of Achievement from Toyota for the company's accomplishment of exceeding the quality performance goals in 2006 set as part of Toyota's Annual Purchasing Policy activity. Tinnerman's quality performance delivered a parts-per-million defect rate of one in 2006 with 100 percent on time delivery of more than eight million parts. This is the fifth year that Tinnerman has received this award.
