Cutting Edge Formulations

Release date: September 4, 2007

BUFORD, Georgia (September 4, 2007) - California, long known as the leader in the environmental movement in the U.S., has the strictest registration and evaluation process for herbicides to be allowed for sale and distribution in that state. So, bringing a new product into California is a challenge and a huge win when it is accepted.

With that being said, Cutting Edge Formulations, Inc. (CEF) announces that its new herbicide, Nature's AvengerŪ Organic, is now EPA registered in the State of California and is available for sale and distribution."Nature's Avenger is ready for its close-up!"

"Most don't know that companies who want to distribute an herbicide must register with the EPA not only nationally, but also in each state. California has the strictest EPA registration process and criteria for herbicides, so receiving approval from California is a major hurdle for us", states CEF's CEO Joe Jankauskas. "Since California is one of the "Greenest" states, being allowed to sell and distribute Nature's Avenger Organic there, is the pot of gold at the end of our rainbow. It's a natural fit to have an effective, organic herbicide available to concerned consumers and businesses in THE state that promotes "green living" the most."

This announcement comes on the heels of CEF recently receiving official notification that both, Nature's Avenger Organic Concentrate and Ready-to-Use (RTU) Herbicides, have been listed by the Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI). Being listed by OMRI is also a major milestone for Nature's Avenger. Most in the organic gardening community will only use OMRI-Listed products.

Registered by the EPA in August of 2006, Nature's Avenger Organic Herbicide received status for use in organic production under the National Organic Program and is also a registered material in the Washington State Department of Agriculture's Organic Food Program.

Nature's Avenger Organic Herbicide is an effective, non-selective, post-emergent weed killer made from a patented natural citrus oil formulation, designed to meet the needs of homeowners and businesses looking for an alternative to synthetic herbicides or less effective "natural" products.

Also being introduced by CEF, in partnership with Marrone Organic Innovations, out of Davis, CA, is GreenMatch Concentrate. Manufactured by CEF, GreenMatch is also made with a patented citrus oil formulation and is geared for use in the organic farming industry, who currently rely heavily on hand labor or flaming to eliminate weeds. On September 4th, GreenMatch passed California review and was posted for registration. Once GreenMatch receives registration from the EPA, GreenMatch will be available for Organic Farmers and other environmentally conscious farmers to use on their crops.

Nature's Avenger Organic Herbicide is available through various lawn and garden distributors across the U.S. The distribution of GreenMatch will be handled by Marrone Organic Innovations of Davis, CA., and Monterrey Ag.

Cutting Edge Formulations, Inc. (CEF) develops and manufactures effective natural and organic products for the lawn and garden industry. For additional information, please call (866) 906-9333 or visit www.naturesavenger.com
