Johnson Matthey Appoints Arthur Reining Staff Scientist to Support Their Stationary Source Emissions Control Business

MALVERN, PA, August 30, 2007 - Johnson Matthey announced today that Arthur Reining has joined their Stationary Source Emissions Control (SSEC) business unit as Staff Scientist.

Reining will be responsible for the design, development and technical support of catalyst and catalytic systems for controlling emissions from IC engines, gas turbines and manufacturing processes.

He has more than 20 years of extensive experience with IC engines and engine emissions testing, as well as analytical evaluation. In addition, he has developed methods for the characterization and evaluation of catalysts and has created catalyst aging and testing programs.

Reining, who has a BS in chemistry from Drexel University, Philadelphia, Pa., will direct SSEC's new product development programs and also provide technical support to customers. He will report to Dr. Hai-Yeng Chen, who, along with Dr. Paul Andersen, oversee Johnson Matthey's Catalytic Technology Center that conducts analytical, developmental and emissions testing programs on stationary, heavy-duty diesel and automobile engines.
