Ruwac Industrial Vacuums

Release date: May 22, 2007

HOLYOKE, Ma., May 22, 2007 - Ruwac introduces its new line of Explosion Proof Vacuums, the FRV Series. The FRV Series help to meet rigid cleaning standards for collection and containment of hazardous debris in shooting ranges. Available with electric or air powered motors, all models in the FRV Series are intrinsically safe, featuring anti-static, chemically neutral housing and components that safely rule out any chance of spark or static buildup.

FRV models are designed to pick up unspent gunpowder and other toxic fines from target lines to keep firing range environments clean and safe. The entire FRV Series is manufactured to comply with NFPA and NEC 500-5 Class 2, Divisions 1 & 2, Groups F & G, as well as the European APEX Directive 94/9/EC, Zone 21, 22 requirements for hazardous locations containing combustible dust. FRV Series vacuums are equipped with HEPA filters for absolute filtration and air diffusers to avoid stirring up harmful, laden dust. Vacuum housing is static dissipating (10-6 Ohms) to eliminate shock hazards. Electric models feature single phase explosion-proof motors and switch gear, while pneumatic models are constructed with all stainless steel components, featuring no moving parts to eliminate static and shock hazards. Dustless waste removal leaves filter untouched to prevent recontamination of area. Fully conductive accessories for floor, wall and overhead cleaning are included with every FRV explosion proof vacuum.

Portable, compact, and extremely durable, the explosion-proof FRV Series provide a simple solution to hazardous locations applications. For more information, contact: Ruwac, (413) 532-4030, info@ruwac.com, or visit: http://www.ruwac.com/continuous_ds2_prod1.html.
