Johnson Matthey Hires Two Senior Project Engineers for its Stationary Source Emissions Control (SSEC) Business Unit

MALVERN, PA, July 25, 2007 - Johnson Matthey announced today the appointment of two additional senior project engineers to their Stationary Source Emissions Control (SSEC) business unit, as demand for their catalysts and catalytic systems continues to grow.

Layne Blavier appointed Senior Project Engineer. He is responsible for designing, modeling, drafting, scheduling and supervising the installation of catalytic converter systems. Before joining JM, Blavier was a senior mechanical engineer for General Machine Products handling research and development of telecom installation equipment. Prior to that, he was a mechanical engineer for Alfa Laval, responsible for designing centrifuges for waste water and chemical plants. Blavier earned both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University.

Saji Pillai joins JM as Senior Project Engineer. He is responsible for the development, design, project execution and technical support of both standard and turnkey stationary emissions control systems. Pillai has over 17 years of experience in engineering design, development, testing and troubleshooting of high precision mechanical engineering components. He was a project engineer for Stein Seal Company, responsible for designing, developing and testing aircraft engine sealing components. Previous to that position, Pillai was a scientist for Gas Turbine Research Establishment, Government of India , with complete responsibility for the detail engineering of aircraft engine components including shafts, bearings and housings. He has a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Dayalbagh Engineering College and a Master's degree from Drexel University.
