June 2007 Salem, NH...Scott Electronics, Inc., with the increased growth in the above mentioned industry sectors, has added additional process equipment to keep up with the increasing demand. " We've had to double our existing production by adding additional single piece flow production lines, and additional polishing and testing equipment over the past year to meet these demands " says David Metz operations for Scott Electronics, Inc. The new equipment meant new employees and training to meet the latest TIA 568-A standards for testing requirements. The new employees will be used to help cover the increased medical and military growth and expected new business in 2007. Plastic optical fiber (POF) growth has also increased production in Scott's Mexico facility in the automotive and semiconductor equipment sectors. The equipment and employee expansion in Mexico will allow this lean facility to increase its production in POF business.
