PORTLAND, Ore., April 3, 2007 - JanRain, Inc., the company that brought you the reliable and feature-rich http://www.MyOpenID.com, has announced that it has hired Michael Graves, an industry veteran in security and identity technologies, as the company's new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Graves brings more than 20 years of experience in technology and executive management to JanRain. Michael's experience and expertise will ensure that JanRain maintains its position as a leading provider of OpenID identity services for Web 2.0.

Graves was the founder of Signio, a payment services company purchased by VeriSign in 2000 for $700 million. More recently Graves held the position of Chief Technology Officer of the VIS Division at VeriSign, Inc. Scott Kveton, JanRain's CEO, noted that, "As JanRain continues to grow its lines of identity and reputation technologies, Michael Graves will bring crucial technical and management skills to the company. Michael's significant experience will help to expand our technology and operating depth and support JanRain's rapid growth in the identity marketplace."

JanRain is building a set of services, based on OpenID, that work together to help you define who exactly you are and then tell the world about it. JanRain is working on the premise that what your social network says about you is much more powerful than just what you say. The team of passionate engineers at JanRain is consistently working on valuable tools that aim to solve identity and single sign-on problems once and for all. JanRain currently operates a feature-rich and reliable OpenID provider, http://www.MyOpenID.com.

Once you create your OpenID, you'll never need to go through the registration process again with sites that support OpenID. If you don't have an OpenID account already, JanRain can help. You can go to http://www.MyOpenID.com and get your own OpenID account today. JanRain has been at the forefront of developing OpenID technology and related services since its founding. With your own personal OpenID you can login to any one of a thousand OpenID-enabled websites and instantly identify yourself as you. To date, OpenID has been adopted by the likes of AOL, Microsoft, Digg, LiveJournal and many others.
