Champlin, Minnesota: PRIMA North America, Inc., the world leader in precision multi-axis laser machining systems, and their agent in Japan, Sumitomo Heavy Industries - Advanced Machinery Co., Ltd. (SHI), announce the sale of two LASERDYNE 790XS - P50L systems to Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Nagoya Guidance & Propulsion Systems Works, (MHI) for laser processing of turbine engine components.

Terry L. VanderWert, Sr., Vice President and General Manager of PRIMA North America, made the announcement saying, "The LASERDYNE 790XS systems purchased are six-axis systems featuring LASERDYNE's latest controller, the S94P. Along with the S94P controller, the MHI systems will have the newest LASERDYNE hardware and software features such as Optical Focus Control (OFC) and BreakThrough Detection. OFC complements the 790 BeamDirector's patented Automatic Focus Control (AFC) and BreakThrough Detection has been shown to not only produce parts with a shorter cycle time but with a better air flow consistency. We believe that the positive evaluation of our latest 790XS system technology and of the CONVERGENT LASERS P50L laser, another product of PRIMA North America, is further evidence that the users of laser processing equipment worldwide recognize the value of recent advances in laser processing now possible with our systems", stated Mr. VanderWert.
