Autac, Inc.

Release date: May 12, 2006

Customizable TPR Cords Offer RoHS Compliant Alternative to Neoprene

May 12, 2006 - Suited for electrical wire and cable, customizable Thermoplastic Rubber (TPR) cords offer rubber-like feel and appearance and maintain retractile memory and flexibility in high-stress applications. Cords are featured in 12, 24, 36, and 48 in. lengths, which can extend on 1:5 ratio if needed. They meet UL/CSA specifications for SEOW/STOW.

Autac Introduces An Additional RoHS Compliant Alternative To Neoprene With TPR

NORTH BRANFORD, CT-Autac, Inc., a leading manufacturer of retractile cords, announces customizable Thermoplastic Rubber (TPR) cords. Ideal for electrical wire and cable, the TPR cords present an additional RoHS compliant alternative to Neoprene.

Autac has been offering TPE as a RoHS alternative for the often hard-to-locate Neoprene. It now adds TPR to its product offering. Its rubber-like feel and appearance make it comparable to Neoprene, and its ability to maintain high retractile memory and flexibility in high stress applications make it virtually indistinguishable. Both the TPE and the TPR are RoHS compliant and made 100% in USA.

The durable TPR cords are weather, oil, chemical, ozone, flame, UV, impact, and abrasion-resistant. Currently available in 16-18 AWG, the cords can be designed to handle varying amounts of amperage. The cords are featured in 12", 24", 36", and 48", which can extend on a 1:5 ratio if needed.

Customized lengths and ratios are also available, up to a 12 foot retracted length extending 60 feet, to meet the user's specific needs. The cords meet UL/CSA (Canadian Standards Association) specifications for SEOW/STOW.

To learn more about Autac's customizable TPR cords, please call 800-243-3161 or visit www.autacusa.com.
