Klein Tools, Inc.

Release date: March 6, 2007

New Klein Tools Journeyman(TM) Gloves Provide Comfort and Durability

LINCOLNSHIRE, ILL. - March 2007 - Klein Tools recently added work gloves to its Journeyman(TM) line that already includes pliers, cutters and other hand tools. The new Utility (Cat. No. 40052-54), Framer (Cat. No. 40057-59), Heavy-Duty Protection (Cat. No. 40062-64) and Leather Work (Cat. No. 40067-69) gloves provide comfort and durability. All glove styles are available in medium, large and extra-large sizes.

Journeyman Utility Gloves have a durable, supple and breathable synthetic leather palm that gives users a firm grip. The gloves' two-way stretch spandex-padded top features form-fitting elasticity and a wide-opening elastic cuff that allows for an easy fit. Reinforced thumb, index finger and fingertips add protection, while contact points on the index finger and thumb have a smooth surface for improved handling of objects. The interior seam stitching is concealed to prevent snagging.

Klein Tools' Journeyman Framer Gloves feature a fingerless design on the thumb, index and middle finger for increased sensitivity when handling wire connectors, screws, nails and small parts. A DURA-FIT(TM) synthetic leather palm offers comfort and durability, and non-slip rubberized Zeus(TM) ClarinoŽ finger grippers improve grip and control. For comfort and ventilation, the gloves have LycraŽ panels between each finger and easy-entry Neoprene cuffs. The cuffs also feature rubber cuff straps with a hook and loop closure for convenient storage.

To reduce impact, Klein's Heavy-Duty Protection Gloves have a streamlined high-density accordion knuckle panel. The fingers have high-profile, impact-absorbing molded rubber for protection, while non-slip rubberized Zeus Clarino grippers are on the forefinger, ring finger, thumb and the heel of the palm for grip control and longer wear. The finger panels have synthetic leather with breathable mesh for comfort and flexibility. The glove also has a two-ply synthetic leather palm with an anatomically die-cut foam pad for high impact zones. A Neoprene cuff provides easy access and additional wrist protection and comfort. The cuff also features a cuff strap with hook and loop closure for convenient storage.

Klein Tools' Leather Work Gloves are constructed of professional-grade, genuine goatskin leather, offering comfort and protection. Two-way form-fitting spandex on top of the glove provides ventilation and comfort. The back of the hand and fingers have rubber ribs for extra protection. A lightly padded palm increases grip and comfort, while an elastic cuff provides easy access, ventilation and additional comfort. The knuckles of the gloves stretch and have foam padding for comfort and protection. A rubber cuff strap with a hook and loop closure provides convenient storage.

"Our new Journeyman gloves greatly enhance Klein Tools' Journeyman line of hand tools and rounds out our existing line of work gloves, providing tradesmen with additional options to stay protected on the job," said Chris Niklas, product manager, Klein Tools.
