Bulkflow to Show Its Bulkflow Heat Exchanger Bulk at Powder and Bulk Solids
CALGARY, ALBERTA, CANADA -- Bulkflow Technologies Inc. will showcase its Bulkflow Heat Exchanger for indirect heating and cooling of free flowing bulk solids at Powder and Bulk Solids Southeast at Booth #2039 in Atlanta, GA, April 24-26, 2007.
The Bulkflow Heat Exchanger heats or cools powders and bulk solids and combines the two sciences of indirect heat transfer and mass flow of bulk solids. The powder or bulk solids move slowly by gravity between vertical heat transfer surfaces formed by welding plates containing the heat transfer fluid, typically water in the case of a cooler. A mass flow discharge device controls the product flow rate. Equipment is contained in a totally sealed unit to eliminate any concern for dirt or contamination.
The combination of technologies makes the Bulkflow equipment "environmentally friendly." Unlike many other types of bulk solid coolers, the Bulkflow system does not require large volumes of air to operate and instead lets gravity do the work to greatly reduce power consumption.
BULKFLOW AT SOUTHEASTERN POWDER SHOW 2007
Bulkflow is the recognized market leader in its field for indirect heating and cooling of bulk solids with more than 250 successful applications worldwide. Applications include chemicals, fertilizers, polymers, detergents, catalysts, minerals, oilseeds, grains, food products, sugar and biosolids.
Bulkflow technology combines zero emission, lower energy consumption and lower capital cost with exceptional results. Benefits include a gentle, improved product flow to prevent product attrition, prevention of potential caking in storage, and improved packaging. Safe and compact, the system easily integrates with existing equipment.
ABOUT BULKFLOW TECHNOLOGIES
Bulkflow was formed in 1999 but their patented heat exchanger technology was created almost 20 years before in 1986 when an engineer at the Cominco Fertilizer plant near Calgary, Alberta, Canada invented a better way to cool granular fertilizer.
With headquarters in Calgary, Bulkflow Technologies has a network of strategically located sales representatives throughout North America. The company also has subsidiary operations in Germany, Belgium and The Netherlands to serve the European market and serves the Asian market through strategically located dealers in numerous countries.
