Easy-to-use Personal Memory Assistant Improves Productivity by Helping You Remember
PALM DESERT, Calif., Jan. 30 -- Launched today at DEMO 07, QTech Inc. announced reQall(TM), its flagship voice-based tool that helps you remember. reQall will be demonstrated on the DEMO main stage on Wednesday, January 31 at 9:15 a.m. PT.
Acting as your virtual personal assistant, reQall enables you to easily record and conveniently retrieve your reminders and notes based on your contextual preferences. reQall is patent-pending software technology that uses a combination of voice interface and speech-recognition technology to record, log and retrieve your tasks, meetings and voice notes. The service can be used via any phone and does not require any software downloads. Instead, a user accesses the reQall service by calling a toll-free number.
"Just as simple phones have evolved into smart phones and various communication devices, so should the value-added services available for them. Today, we are seeing a significant trend in the market with technologies that bring much more flexibility and usefulness to communication devices," said Chris Shipley, executive producer, DEMO 07. "reQall is an innovative and easy-to-use technology that takes advantage of your existing communication device, no matter what you may use, and transforms it into a much more useful solution to aid your memory."
"QTech is pioneering the next wave of voice-based technologies for all communication devices," said Dr. N. Rao Machiraju, QTech chairman and CEO. "We are passionate about providing our customers with the very best memory tools to augment their work and lifestyle. reQall will impact the way people remember their tasks and events in the future, enabling much greater flexibility and productivity in their work and personal life."
Unlike solutions that help you simply record voice messages, reQall offers contextually relevant date and time-based memory assistance. The system's interactive voice response system leverages any communication device including mobile phones, smart phones, land lines, desktops, laptops or an IP softphone such as Skype.
The reQall experience includes:
1) reQall Access: Using reQall's toll-free telephone number, users access a simple voice interface to begin the reQall experience. 2) reQall Memory: Using reQall's patent-pending technology, users capture a note, task or meeting for later use. 3) reQall Retrieve: Users can phone reQall to retrieve their notes, tasks or meetings. Users can also choose to receive daily summaries and reminders as email or delivered directly to the reQall Windows application. Users can use this application even when their computer is offline.
Availability
A limited beta version of reQall is available in North America beginning February 8, 2007. A full product version will be available in mid-2007 as a monthly service with an estimated fee of $9.95 per month. Later versions of the service will provide keyword text search and the option of downloading enhanced features via a mobile phone widget.
