ABG Packaging

Release date: January 31, 2007

Rockford, IL - January 30, 2007 -- In the aggressive business environment today, a competitive advantage over your competition can result in a dramatic increase to your company's bottom line. ABG Packaging, a manufacturer and importer of industrial flexible intermediate bulk containers (FIBC) and related bulk packaging products, has developed the DrumSak(TM) to give users of steel, plastic and fibre drums an alternative to costly conventional drums. DrumSaks(TM) provide a competitive advantage for your company by reducing logistic transportation costs, eliminating wasted inventory space, enhancing the ease of material flow through your facility, reducing workman's compensation claims, and eliminating refurbishing & disposal costs; thus providing significant cost savings for you and your customers.

DrumSaks(TM) are a fraction of the cost of conventional drums and are collapsible when stored and hold their rigid shape when ready to be filled and palletized. DrumSaks(TM), a form of flexible intermediate bulk containers (FIBC), can be manufactured with a variety of different filling and discharge options and can be designed to fit custom specifications to provide added flexibility to your production process. Most standard drums including steel & fibre come in sizes from 10 to 55 gallons. DrumSaks(TM) can be custom manufactured to fit your specific batch requirements, either by volume or by weight for all increments from 10 to 75 gallons. Hundreds of DrumSaks(TM) can be stored in the space of just a few standard drums, maximizing your warehouse space and reducing transportation costs, allowing you to run in a lean environment. DrumSaks(TM) were designed to dramatically reduce the extensive emptying time of high viscosity chemicals and materials as chemical plants have been experiencing up to 2 hours of wasted production time due to hang back. Studies have shown that the handling of traditional drums in the workplace is a major cause of increasing workman's compensation claims. Drumsaks(TM) can be easily moved with a hoist or lift truck considerably reducing the chance of injury due to lifting and mishandling of traditional drums.

DrumSaks(TM) are produced from 100% recyclable woven polypropylene (coated and breathable) with fabrics tested for UV resistance, tensile strength, elongation, trapezoid tear strength, puncture strength and mullen burst strength; anti-static fabrics meeting Type "C" and Type "D" static control, and fabrics that comply with the USFDA criteria for food and pharmaceuticals. All DrumSaks(TM) meet 5:1 safety requirements and are manufactured to customer specifications, meeting exacting requirements of size, shape, filling and discharging options. Refurbishing and disposal costs associated with conventional drums can be a significant expense to you and your end user. Drumsaks(TM) can be disposed of conveniently through conventional waste management methods or with a recycling program near your facility.
