RBI to Showcase New Futera Fusion Boilers and New 4 Million Btu Futera III at the AHR EXPO Booth 1325
WESTFIELD, Mass. December 7, 2006 -- RBI will showcase the new Futera Fusion(TM) and the new 4 million Btu Futera III at the AHR Expo (Booth 1325), January 29 -31 at the Dallas Convention Center in Dallas, Texas.
The Futera Fusion is a commercial boiler that is IBR-listed and up to 97.5% and represents the next generation of high efficiency boilers and hot water heaters. The new boiler is designed to meet the changing demands of environmentally sensitive or green building design and comes with a full, 21 year, non-prorated warranty against damage from thermal shock.
The Futera Fusion is a gas fired condensing boiler with full modulation and a 3:1 turndown, and is available in sizes from 500 to 2000 MBH. It features advanced heat exchanger technology with a gasket-less primary heat exchanger with solid bronze headers and finned copper or cupronickel tubing for superb heat transfer. A stainless steel secondary heat exchanger is designed to operate at the boiler's full flow rate. It operates in full condensing mode at all times, while a state of the art temperature mixing system protects the boiler's primary heat exchanger. A metal-fiber burner allows seamless modulating turndown, ultra-low emission levels and whisper-quiet operation. In addition, the system automatically adjusts energy input to precisely match the heating load without over-firing or wasting fuel. This design also offers a larger heat transfer surface area than any competitive product currently available, and translates into every model having a minimum full input efficiency rating of 94.5% with certain sizes achieving a rating of 97.5%. At minimum inputs, each model is capable of producing efficiencies as high as 99%.
Futera III Also on Display
The Futera III line of boilers is now available in both 3- and 4-million Btu versions. The Futera III is a sealed combustion, direct vent, finned copper tube boiler that provides full modulation and 4:1 turndown. The unit features a rugged, four-pass design, gasket-less heat exchanger with bronze headers and fittings that prevent rust and corrosion for the life of the boiler. An exclusive design feature maintains boiler footprints equal to the smaller 1500 MBH - 2000 MBH Futera III products.
