Hygroscopic Breathers Prevent Dirt and Water Contamination
A line of patented air filter and water vapor removal breathers that replace standard breather caps on hydraulic reservoirs, gear boxes, and process tanks is available from Sphinx Adsorbents, Inc. of Springfield, MA.
Sphinx Des-Case(TM) Hygroscopic Breathers replace standard breather caps to prevent dirt and water contamination and extend the service life of oils, filters, hydraulic fluids, and system components. Fully self-contained, they employ a desiccant to extract water vapor from the air and micro-fiberglass pleated filters that remove particles down to one micron.
Featuring a window that shows when to change the desiccant, which turns pink when 100% saturated, Sphinx Des-Case(TM) Hygroscopic Breathers are offered in small disposable units for gearboxes and hydraulic reservoirs, steel units for harsh environments such as chemical plants, welding shops, and marine applications, and in sizes for large tank configurations.
