Psion Teklogix' WORKABOUT PRO Serves SmartTurn(TM) WMS Mobile Computing Customers
Mississauga, ON - November 2, 2006 - Psion Teklogix (LSE: PON), a global provider of solutions for mobile computing, wireless data collection, imaging and RFID, today announced the Psion Teklogix line of WORKABOUT PRO devices are certified for the SmartTurn(TM) Warehouse Management System (WMS).
SmartTurn WMS is the first on demand WMS to provide enterprise-class capabilities at a fraction of traditional software costs. SmartTurn WMS helps small- and medium-sized businesses take control of inventory and warehouse operations by providing real-time product visibility and automating purchasing, receiving and fulfillment. Coupled with Psion Teklogix' WORKABOUT PRO, SmartTurn WMS provides a complete mobile computing solution in an inventory control or warehouse environment.
SmartTurn WMS used in conjunction with the Psion Teklogix WORKABOUT PRO enables shipping clerks, inventory managers or other warehouse labor to conduct receiving, picking, loading and cycle counting processes from anywhere in the warehouse, instead of being tied to a desktop computer. Using mobile handhelds to scan data into the system during a transaction reduces data entry errors, and keeps inventory status synchronized with labor activities, greatly improving inventory accuracy. Providing inventory visibility directly to the workforce enables labor to be mobile and productive, streamlining all aspects of order fulfillment and inventory management.
Psion Teklogix is certified through the SmartTurn Ready program, which is designed to ensure partner products seamlessly integrate with the SmartTurn WMS. Through this certification, customers will be assured the WORKABOUT PRO is easily available and compatible with SmartReady software, right out of the box. This will help keep implementations simple and minimize costs for the customer.
